I got engaged five months ago, to the most amazing man on earth.
…but then we ran into a little issue. He is ALWAYS busy, & I’m a communication person so we always fought over his schedule. So I told him:
‘’Look, if we must make this work we need to make effort to just hang out often’’.
I mean, the calls were just okay but it’s always great to have a one on one, hang out and just have fun.
…so we settled to doing this every Friday. Whatever he is doing, once it is Friday night – it’s my time and he had to respect that.
One of those Fridays, we went to a dinner night stroke send forth party for a retiring senior executive in his firm.
It was a quite some party, and they had this long dining table set up. My fiancé was sitting to my right, another woman was to my left. Then I turned to the woman, just like…you know…socialize and make friends and do the whole courtesy thing.
The woman looked about 58. Her husband was sitting just next to her, the first thing my eyes noticed was her shape. For a woman her age, she looked quite ‘’hot’’.
She sensed me looking at her, turned and instinctively smiled.
And no exaggerations…it was the most beautiful smile in the world. I know it sounds like a cliché but no jokes. Her smile was dazzling.
She had the whitest teeth I have ever seen, in my life!
‘’Wow, your teeth are white.’’ I caught myself saying before I could rein that in.
She threw her head back and laughed, almost like she gets that often.
‘’That is the most direct one I have ever gotten’’. She said with a kind smile.
We struck up a conversation throughout the meal and funny enough it was about teeth. She told me her teeth had not always been this white. That she started using a particular teeth whitener and it fixed the discolouration she once had.
It works exactly the way whitening cream works on the skin, but this time for teeth. Purely without any side effect at all.
Before I left, I got the name of the teeth whitener from her. Bought it and started using it together with my normal toothpaste. And it worked just like she said it would.
We exchanged contacts, and I have always called her ‘’the stranger that gave me white teeth’’.
